Flap cannot be closed com-
pletely during start-up or by
the “test” key, i.e. the flap is
blocked by an object in the
backwater flap “Flap fault”
- Wrong lever position during
cover fitting
Backwater detected.
The flap cannot be closed
completely, however, i.e. it is
blocked by an object
“Flap fault during backwater”
Remove the mains plug, deactivate
the battery, open the Staufix cover,
eliminate the blockage and return to
operation
Recommendation:
Inform a specialist company
- See installation instructions 010-
842 (section 4.2.1)
Close the emergency valve. After
the end of backwater, remove the
blockage as describedn
Caution:
Check position of the
operating valve! The control at-
tempts to close the flap 3 x in the
interval and perhaps eliminate the
blocking object in the process. If
the object can be removed by the
flap movement during these cy-
cles, the system is ready to be
used again. If this does not work,
the system switches to fault. Ack-
nowledgement of the acoustic sig-
nal is possible. It is also possible to
remove the object by flushing the
line. This can be checked by pres-
sing the test key again. In the event
of a negative result, the fault mes-
sage appears again; the object
must be removed as described
under remedial measures.
The KESSEL control unit detects faults during start-up and during operation, allowing them to be remedied easily.
