a l s o be o p e r a t e d a s an X-Y o s c i 1 l o s c o p e . I n X-Y o p e r a t i o n , s i g n a l s a p p l i e d t o t h e CHI
INPUT t e r m i n a l a r e d e f l e c t e d on the Y - a x i s ( v e r t i c a l a x i s ) , s i g n a l s a p p l i e d t o t h e CH2
INPUT t e r m i n a l s a r e d e f l e c t e d on t h e X - a x i s ( h o r i z o n t a l a x i s ) , and a L i s s a j o u s p a t t e r n
i s d i s p l a y e d . A L i s s a j o u s p a t t e r n makes i t p o s s i b l e t o m e a s u r e p h a s e d i f f e r e n c e s
between two s i g n a l s and t h e i r r e l a t i v e frequency p r o p o r t i o n .

7 — 6 S i n g l e Sweep O p e r a t i on
S i n g l e sweep o p e r a t i o n i s used to observe a s i n g l e event or occurence.
I f t h e t r i g g e r p o i n t o f a s i g n a l t o be o b s e r v e d i s unknown, s e t the t r i g g e r p o i n t u s i n g
the s i g n a l or a s i g n a l approximate to i t .
1) S e t t h e
T.
MODE s w i t c h t o AUTO or NORM. A d j u s t t h e t r i g g e r p o i n t w i t h t h e TRIGGER
LEVEL c o n t r o l . I f the COUPLING s w i t c h i s s e t t o DC, the t r i g g e r p o i n t may be a d j u s t e d
a c c u r a t e l y f o r a s i g n a l which changes s l o w l y .
2) Set the T. MODE s w i t c h to RESET, and check the READY LED i s l i t .
