Cleaning the electric blanket

This electric blanket has waterproof heating elements, making it safe for immersion
in water and hand or machine washing.

Just make sure you always unplug

the controllers from the power supply and detach them before exposing the
blanket to water.

To remove the controllers, push out the locking clip to release

the socket pin and withdraw the connector plug by pulling it away from the socket.
Do not dry clean. Do not iron.
Spot-cleaning
•  Set the control to the OFF position and remove the plug from the wall outlet.
•  Remove stains on the blanket with a damp sponge, moistened with a mild

detergent solution and lukewarm water. Follow this with sponging using clean
water.

•  Remove any excess water by compressing the wet area between absorbent

towels.

Handwashing
•  Set the control to the OFF position and remove the plug from the wall outlet.
•  Detach the controllers, as described above.

Do not let the controllers come

into contact with water!

•  Immerse the blanket in lukewarm water with a detergent for fine fabrics and

allow the blanket to soak for 5 minutes. Remove from the solution and gently
squeeze the solution through the blanket.

•  Rinse well in clean, lukewarm water. Gently squeeze and drain the excess

water from the blanket.

•  WARNING:

Do not wring the blanket, as this may damage the wiring!

Press the water out of the blanket using a flat hand.

•  Dry the blanket as described on page 14.

WARNING!

• Always remove the controllers before washing the blanket! Never immerse

the controllers in water or any other liquid.

• Do not have the blanket chemically dry-cleaned.
• Do not bleach the blanket; do not iron it and do not dry it in the tumble dryer.
