LIGHTING
If your bicycle is equipped with front and rear lighting, check their function regularly.
Dysfunctional bulb must be replaced with the new one, always with identical parameters. In
case of lack of experience with bulb changing, we recommend you to visit a bicycle service
centre.
Your bicycle is equipped with front halogen light that is powered by dynamo integrated in the
front wheel hub. A switch placed on the back of front light has two positions:
•
ON: lighting constantly also during the daylight
•
OFF: in this position, the electric circuit is disconnected and the light is off
The rear light is connected electrically to the front light, i.e. the rear light's function is also
controlled through the switch (ON/OFF).
The rear light is equipped with a lighting function "Standlicht", when small amount of energy
generated by the dynamo integrated in front hub is stored during the ride in a capacitor, what
ensures that the LED diode in the rear light keeps lighting for a period of 4 minutes after
stopping the bicycle (recharging the capacitor requires few minutes ride at speed 20 km/h).
IMPORTANT WARNING
When the bicycle is ridden on public roads and it is not equipped with lights and
reflectors, you have to equip it by yourself according the law in your country.
Wear always cyclist helmet when riding bicycle!
Head injury is often caused by bicycle
accidence. When buying helmet mind its proper size. Helmet must fit correctly on head. It
can not hurt or press head. Buy helmet with settable fixative mechanism which will safely fix
helmet on head.
The permissible maximum total weight of the rider plus luggage and bicycle is 110 kg.
For junior bicycles is the permissible maximum total weight of the rider plus luggage and
bicycle 45 kg.
Do not overweight the bicycle!
AUXILIARY WHEELS
If your bicycle is equipped with auxiliary wheels, then these wheels for the bicycle are delivered
disassembled. Therefore it is necessary to assemble and mount the wheels before using.
Plastic bag supplied with the holders of auxiliary wheels includes:
- 2 long screws
- 6 washers
- 2 serrated washers
- 2 common nuts
- 2 safety nuts (with plastic insert)
* Assembling wheel
Proceed as follows:
1. Slide the washer on the screw, then slide the wheel and slide another washer on the other side of
the wheel.
2. Screw the nut on the bolt so that the wheel freely rotates.
3. The wheel with the bolt slide into a round hole on a steel strut – the wheel must be on the outside
of the strut.
4. Further, slide the serrated washer on the screw and then another nut with which attach the wheel
to the strut. Then use the safety nut with a plastic insert.
5. Now use two wrenches of 14 mm size and tighten two nuts against each other. Make sure the
wheel rotates about the bolt lightly, but without play.
6. Repeat the procedure for the other wheel.
* Mounting the strut to the rear axle of the bicycle
Proceed as follows:
1. Grasp the strut with the mounted wheel and slide the other end of the strut into the rectangular
hole of the holder with rubberized forked end – this end must be directed to the bicycle frame and
the wheel must be on the outer side.
2. Into the rectangular hole between the strut and the holder insert one washer. Slide in this way
prepared holder with the strut onto the axis of the rear wheel of the bicycle so that the axis passes
all holes including washer.
WARNING: Do not remove the nut that secures the rear wheel in frame!
3. The rubberized end of the strut's holder must be installed to the stop of the lower rear fork of the
bicycle frame. Secure the holder on the axis by the nut with pressed washer.
4. Repeat the procedure for the other strut.
5. Then set the desired height of both auxiliary wheels and tighten the nuts to the stop.
I
MPORTANT WARNING:
Before every ride check whether all screws are securely tightened!
If you would not use the auxiliary wheels on your bike, then slide the washer and screw a hat-nut (a
nut with closed end) to the axis of rear wheel. This will remove dangerous edges that an uncovered
bolt on the rear axle has.
