2.7 functional description
The COMBINORM type B is a single-surface brake without sliprings for dry running.
When energized, the force of a magnetic field is used to build up torque. The armature
disk is attracted to the brake magnet and the torque is transmitted by a diaphragm spring
without torsional backlash and without wear.
After switching off the rated voltage, the force of the magnetic field is canceled and the
torque is reduced.
