7 Troubleshooting
Note
Heads of the "22" series cannot be serviced because their necks are too thin.
These heads must be serviced together with the corresponding shanks.
Malfunction
Cause
Remedy
The red LED ① flashes.
Signal sound is emitted.
Spray can is not properly
inserted.
Spray can is empty.
Insert spray can properly.
Insert different spray can.

The red LED ① flashes
during the service cycle.
The bridging function is ac‐
tivated.
Insert original KaVospray
canister.
Notify the KaVo Service
Team.
Flashing LED light ② is on. Bar code is not detected or
cannot
be read.
Insert original KaVospray
canister.
Notify the KaVo Service
Team.
Green LEDs ② flash. Sig‐
nal sound is emitted.
Front door was opened pre‐
maturely.
The handpiece fell off the
adaptorduring the service.
Wait for the service proce‐
dure to be completed and
an audio signal
to be emitted.
Properly mount the hand‐
piece. Repeat the service
procedure.
Oil leaks from the
handpiece after servicing.
The set blow-out time is too
short.
Set a longer blow-out time.
