①
Satellite setting
parameters
The frequency, modulation and polarisation parameters for
the received satellite signal, the selected satellite and the
transponder number are displayed.
When the signal is locked, the modulation type (DVB-S,
DVB-S2 single/multi-stream, DSS) and the symbol rate are
automatically detected. If it is a multi-stream signal and
the correct PLS has been applied, by default the first ISI is
locked and demodulated; see
SAT-Konfiguration bearbe-
iten, S. 30
.
②
Basis signal meas-
urements
HF level, MER, signal-to-noise ratio and bBER (DVB-S)/PER
(DVB-S2) are displayed.
Together with aBER/PER, the signal meter also provides
the ERR parameter. This parameter stores the total number
of errors detected during demodulation, so that temporary
signal degradation can be detected if the same signal is
being measured with the signal meter for a long time.
③
Transport stream
ID, ORD, network
ID and network
Transport stream ID and ORD and the network ID and net-
work are displayed alternating.
④
Lock
If the signal is correctly demodulated, the signal meter is
locked and displays the measured values.
⑤
Other parameters
display of LNB power consumption, frequency error, and CA
systems detected in the stream
⑥
A/V service decod-
ing
After signal demodulation, the signal meter automatically
decodes the audio and video content of the first unencrypted
TV service in the stream. Below the video stream, the values
for Vpid and Apid are displayed.
