selects the mode for the measurement of the carrier-

The mode is automatically selected.
IN BAND
The carrier-to-noise ratio is measured
between the signal level of the video car-
rier and the noise level estimated in the
band between the colour subcarrier and
the audio carrier.
AUS. BAND
The carrier-to-noise ratio is measured
between the signal level of the video car-
rier and the noise level estimated in the
"GUARD BAND" (-1.250 MHz away from
the video carrier).
