SUGGESTION
●
If necessary, ask for help from your KARMA wheelchair dealer for
cleaning and replacing the batteries.
●
Do not use the battery to charge telecom equipment or other items..
●
Battery capacity will vary with outside conditions; the maximum drive
range will decrease in the winter. If the vehicle is not going to be used for
a long time, please remember to charge the batteries at least once every
two weeks.
●
Replace both batteries simultaneously.
WARNING
●
Do NOT allow conductive material such as a wrench to join the two
battery terminals. This will result in a short that can cause burns to you
and damage the battery.
●
Most batteries are not sold with instructions. However, warnings are
frequently noted on top of the batteries. Read them carefully.
●
Do NOT allow the liquid in the battery to come in contact with skin,
clothes or other items. It is a form of acid and may cause harmful or
damaging burns. Should the liquid come into contact with skin, rinse
the area immediately and thoroughly with cool water. If liquid comes
into contact with eyes, flush eyes immediately and seek medical
attention as soon as possible.

The use of rubber gloves and chemical goggles are recommended
when working with batteries.
●
NEVER smoke or strike a match near batteries.
●
Replace the batteries IMMEDIATELY if there are any cracks or leaks.
6.6.6 Examine the battery clamps/terminals for corrosion, if the terminal is covered
by white powder, please stop using the battery due to it indicates that there's
possible leakage of the battery. Please replace the batteries.
6.6.7 Clean the terminals and inside of the battery clamps by using a battery
cleaning tool, wire brush or medium grade sandpaper. Upon completion,
these areas should be shiny, not dull.
6.6.8 Carefully dust off all metal particles.
