Safety instructions 

Read these safety instructions 
and the original instructions be-

fore using the device for the first time. Act 
in accordance with them. Keep the two 
booklets for future reference or for future 
owners.

In addition to the notes in the operating
instructions, you also need to take into 
consideration the general safety regula-
tions and accident prevention guidelines 
applicable by law.

Warnings and information notices at-
tached to the device provide important
information for hazard-free operation.

ger that will lead to severe injuries or
even death.

Indication of a potentially dangerous sit-

uation that may lead to severe injuries or
even death.

CAUTION

Indication of a potentially dangerous sit-

uation that may lead to minor injuries.

ATTENTION

Indication of a potentially dangerous sit-

uation that may lead to damage to prop-
erty.

Safe handling

DANGER

Risk of asphyxiation. Keep packaging

film out of the reach of children.

WARNING

Persons with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities, or those with a lack 
of experience and knowledge, are only
allowed to use the appliance if they are
supervised or have been instructed with
respect to using the appliance safely, and 
understand the resultant dangers in-
volved.

Children from the age of 8 may use the

appliance if they are supervised or have
been instructed in its use by a person re-
sponsible for their safety, and if they have 

understood the resultant dangers in-
volved.

Children must be supervised to prevent

them from playing with the appliance.

Children may only perform cleaning work 

and user maintenance under supervi-
sion.

CAUTION

Never leave the device unsupervised

while it is in operation.

ATTENTION

Never use the device without a filter, this

can lead to device damage.

Protect the device from extreme weather 

conditions, moisture and heat.

Risk of electric shock

DANGER

Never insert conductive objects, e.g.

screwdrivers or similar, into the charging
socket on the appliance.

Never touch contacts or lines.

Do not expose the battery to strong sun-

light, heat or fire.

Never touch the mains plug and socket

with wet hands.

Only connect the device to alternating

current. The voltage indicated on the type 
plate must match the voltage of the pow-
er source.

Do not immerse the device in water.

Only operate the device via a fault cur-

rent protection switch (maximum 30 mA).

Do not damage the mains connection ca-

ble by running it over, crushing it or pull-

fective batteries. Immediately rinse off
the fluid using water if contact is made,
and also consult a doctor in the event of
contact with the eyes.

WARNING

Only charge the appliance using the orig-

inal charger enclosed or with a charger
approved by KÄRCHER.
