1.039-104 Briggs & Stratton:
– Pull out choke (3).

To start engine
– Set throttle lever (15)
to „ “ position.
– Turn ignition key (5)
clockwise until engine
starts.
„
As soon as engine is
running smoothly
– push choke back in.
1.039-144 Honda:
– Set throttle lever
(15) to choke
position.
„
To start engine
– Turn ignition key (5)
clockwise until
engine starts.
„
As soon as engine is
running smoothly
– push throttle lever
backwards.

If engine is cold
Moving off
„
Release parking brake (2)
– Push down on clutch/brake pedal (1) and hold in
place. Parking brake will be released.
Important: Keep the clutch/brake pedal depressed
while you select the direction of travel and the
speed.

Select direction of travel (11)
– Set gear lever to either “forwards” or “reverse”.
„
Select speed (13)
– Disengage speed lever, and move to required
position.
„
Setting off
– Slowly release clutch/brake pedal so that sweeper
starts to move.
Braking
„
Press down on clutch/brake pedal (1).
Stopping the sweeper and switching off
„
Press down on clutch/brake pedal (1).
„
Engage parking brake (2)
– Press down on clutch/brake pedal and push knob
for parking brake at same time.
„
Switching off
– Set throttle lever (15) to „ “ position.
– Turn ignition key (5) anticlockwise, and then
withdraw it.
„
Brush roller (6) and outrigger broom must always be
raised, so that bristles are not damaged.
