7 Switching the Inverter Off
The inverter must be switched off prior to adjustment, mainte-
nance and repair work. This is done as follows:
S e c t i o n 7 ·
S w i t c h i n g t h e I n v e r t e r O f f
DANGER
Risk of fatal injury by electric shock at live con-
nections.
Lethal voltages are still present in the inverter
even after the electrical connections have been
disconnected.
Wait fi ve minutes before reaching into the in-
verter.
When working on the photovoltaic module, in ad-
dition to disconnecting from the grid, the DC main
switch on the generator terminal box (or the DC
plug connectors) must always be disconnected
at all poles.
Disconnecting the line voltage is not enough.
ACTION
Disconnect the line voltage (deactivate the external
–
circuit breakers).
Disconnect the photovoltaic module.
–
Ensure that the inverter’s grid connection terminals are
–
voltage-free.
IMPORTANT
The sequence of work must be adhered to at all times,
particularly when using DC plug connectors as DC discon-
nectors. Otherwise, arcing may occur when disconnecting
DC plug connectors under load. This will destroy the plug
connectors.
