CD OPERATIONS
When playing an MP3 disc, refer also to “MP3
OPERATIONS” on pages 20 to 26.
Playing a CD

Open the control panel.
The control panel moves down,
and the loading slot appears.
Note:
When an external component is connected to the
MP3 INPUT jack, be careful of handling a disc.

Insert a disc into the loading slot.
The unit draws the
disc, the control
panel goes back to
the previous
position (see page
36), and CD play
starts
automatically.
• All the tracks on the disc will be played
repeatedly until you stop playback—
All Track Repeat Play.
Note:
Do not insert any 8 cm disc into the loading slot as it
will get stuck inside.

The display changes to show the following:
CD–in indicator lights up
Total track number of the inserted disc
Total playing time of the inserted disc
Current track
Elapsed playing time
Notes:
• When a disc is in the loading slot, selecting “CD”
as the source by pressing SOURCE
starts
CD play.
• When a disc is inserted upside down, the disc
automatically ejects.
• If a name has been assigned to the CD (see page
35), it will be shown on the upper line of the main
display.
• When you play a CD Text, the disc title/performer
and track title will appear, followed by the elapsed
playing time (and track No.). See also “Playing a
CD Text” (page 16) and “To select the scroll mode
– SCROLL” (page 32).
If a CD Text includes too much text information,
some may not appear on the display.
• If you change the source, CD play also stops
(without ejecting the disc).
Next time you select CD as the source, CD play
starts from where playback has been stopped
previously.
To stop play and eject the disc
Press

CD play stops, the control panel moves down,
and the disc automatically ejects from the
loading slot.
