
Adjusting Brightness Manually
Generally, the brightness of the subject that is being shot is automatically
adjusted according to the reference values of the camera. However, the
brighter or darker areas of an image may appear unclear depending on the
shooting conditions. To prevent this from occurring, you can correct the
exposure manually.

Press the “AE ±” button.

The AE value appears on the screen, and the adjustment mode is
enabled.

Turn the “ADJ.” dial.

Turn upward to increase the value and make the image brighter.

Turn downward to decrease the value and make the image darker.

Press the “SET” button.

The manual setting value is set.
(The setting value (-2.0 to +2.0) is displayed on the screen.)

Brightness, shutter speed and aperture cannot be manually set at the

Press the “AE ±” button several times until the AE value display
disappears.
Setting Backlight Compensation
You can correct the image when the subject appears too dark due to
backlight.
