Installing new applications
on the Field PC using
ActiveSync
Below are some general instructions for installing
software on your Field PC.
Note: Please refer to the user
documentation provided by the software vendor for
complete installation instructions.
To install a new application, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Field PC to the desktop computer
with Microsoft ActiveSync using the instructions
in the section called
Reestablishing an ActiveSync
Connection
in this chapter.
2. Download the software from the Internet or insert
the software application CD.
3. Run the program. If you inserted a CD and the
software setup program runs automatically, skip to
Step 6.
