WARNING: Do not look directly into a fiber-optic transceiver or into the ends of
fiber-optic cables. Fiber-optic transceivers and fiber-optic cables connected to a
transceiver emit laser light that can damage your eyes.
8. Verify that the status LEDs on the front panel indicate that the transceiver is functioning correctly. For
more information about the component LEDs, see the “LEDs on ACX2000 and ACX2100 Routers” on
page 57 .

Removing an ACX2000 or ACX2100 Management Ethernet Cable
To remove a serial cable connected to a management device:
1. Wrap and fasten one end of the ESD grounding strap around your bare wrist, and connect the other
end of the strap to an ESD point.
2. Press the tab on the connector, and pull the connector straight out of the MGMT port.
Figure 29 on page 122 shows the connector.
3. Disconnect the cable from the network device.
