• Course material or large branches can result in the cylinder becoming blocked during continuous
operation
• Soft materials, such as leaves or stems may block the feeding opening Feed the soft material in using
the pusher supplied
• Carefully check the material to be shredded Make sure that it does not contain any foreign objects as
they could seriously damage the shredder

Ensure that the compost shredder is not connected to the mains when you carry out any form of
maintenance
• Take care of your compost shredder and clean it regularly to obtain long-lasting efficiency and
performance
• Keep the air vents clean and free from dust
• Never wet or spray water on the compost shredder
• Never use detergents or solvents to clean the compost shredder’s casing as they could cause
irreparable damage Chemicals can destroy the plastic parts
• Check regularly that the fastening screws on the undercarriage are tightened
• To protect the compost shredder against rust during protracted storage, the cylinder should be
lubricated with oil
Tip
• Large objects that have got stuck can be removed through repeatedly running the compost shredder
in both shredding and release directions
• Use a pusher or clearing hook to remove blocked objects from the feed hopper and ejection slot
WARNING!
Always wait for the shredder to stop completely before starting it again
• Longer pieces of material protruding from the compost shredder can lash out when pulled
in by the cylinder Please keep at a safe distance!
• If blocked, the machine has a function that automatically runs in the reverse direction,
thus ejecting the material
• Check whether the box is full or not, clear it prior to a new session
• Only feed in sufficient material not to block the feed hopper
• Shred wilted and damp garden waste alternately with branches
• Do not insert soft waste such as kitchen rubbish into the shredder, compost it instead
• Material with a lot of branches and leaves must be completely shredded before new material is fed in
• When shredding branches with leaves, do not feed in other material before shredding is entirely
completed
• Check that the branches and leaves are completely shredded before feeding in new material
• The vent holes must not be covered
Adjustment of holder
The ideal distance between the holder and the cylinder is 05 mm This distance should be maintained
to achieve effective operation There is an adjusting knob on the side of the compost shredder’s plastic
casing The adjusting knob is tightened to max position (the distance from the holder to the cylinder is 0
mm) when you purchase the machine Turn the adjusting knob clockwise half a turn to produce a distance
of 05 mm
