•  When feeding material into the compost shredder take care that no foreign objects are included
•  Do not allow processed material to build up in the discharge zone This may prevent proper discharge

and can result in material being ejected through the feed hopper

•  If the machine becomes clogged, shut-off the power source and disconnect the compost shredder

from the power supply before clearing debris

•  Ensure that  all safety devices are in good condition
•  When carrying out repairs to the cylinder, be aware that the cylinder can still be put into motion by a

manual starting mechanism, despite the interlock switch preventing the power source from engaging

•  If the electric cable becomes damaged during use, the following instructions must be followed:

– Turn off the motor

– Disconnect the cable from the mains

•  If an extension cord is used it shall not be of an inferior quality than the cord fitted to the compost

shredder

•  Do not touch a damaged cord before it is disconnected from the mains A damaged cord can lead to

contact with live parts

•  Do not touch the cylinder before the compost shredder has been disconnected from the mains supply

and it has come to a complete stop

•  The compost shredder should be connected via a residual current device with a tripping current of not

more than 30 mA

•  The compost shredder is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities,
