SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use!
Check that the amount of fuel in the suction tank is greater than the amount to be pumped.
Check that the tank to be filled holds the volume to be pumped.
Never run the pump when dry as this could seriously damage the pump's component parts.
Check that hoses and couplings are in perfect condition. Discharges of diesel fuel can seriously
damage the environment and human health.
The pump should never be started or stopped by disconnecting the power.
Never touch the power switch with wet hands.
Prolonged skin contact with diesel fuel can cause injuries. Always wear gloves and safety glasses.
TECHNICAL DATA
Operating temperature
-20°C
– 60°C
Relative humidity
90%
Noise level
< 70 dB
The temperature thresholds apply to the pump's component parts and must be followed to avoid any
damage or technical malfunction.
OPERATION
Check the pump for transit damage.
Clean the inlet and outlet before assembling.
Check that the electrical specifications correspond to the data stated on the rating plate.
The pump can be mounted with the axle vertically or horizontally.
Use bolts with a dimension suitable for the pre-drilled holes in the pump.
NOTE:
The pump motor is not explosion proof. Do not mount the pump where there are flammable
gases.
Connecting the hoses
Make sure the hose and tank are clean and free from dirt and any metal particles, as these could
damage the pump and accessories.
Fill the pump housing partially with diesel before connecting the drainage hose. This facilitates the
start-up procedure.
Do not use conical couplings as these can damage the seats in the pump housing.
The pump is not equipped with a filter. Always use a suction filter (included with the battery-
powered pump).
Suction hose
Min. nominal diameter:
3/4"
Nominal recommended pressure: 10 bar
It must be of a type that is suitable for use where suction pressure can occur.
Drainage hose
Min. nominal diameter:
3/4"
Nominal recommended pressure: 10 bar
It is the responsibility of the installer to connect the appropriate hoses to the pump. Use of the wrong type
of hose could result in personal injury and damage to the environment and equipment. If the couplings on
the pressure or suction sides become loose this can have severe consequences for the environment and
safety. Check all couplings when the installation is complete, then every day. Tighten if necessary.
The pump must bleed air out of the system during the start-up phase. It is therefore important to keep the
outlet open so that the air can escape. If an automatic nozzle is installed, it is harder to bleed air out of
the system as the automatic shutdown closes the nozzle when the pressure gets too low. The automatic
nozzle should preferably not be installed until the system has been bled of air.
