Single filter
1.
Unscrew the wing nut, remove the air filter
housing and take out the filter unit.
2.
Clean with washing-up liquid and hot water.
Do not use non flammable detergents or
detergents with high flashpoint. Leave to
dry.
3.
Soak in pure engine oil. Squeeze out excess
oil, otherwise the engine will smoke when it
is started.
4.
Replace the filter unit and air filter housing.
Oil-bath type
1.
Unscrew the nut, remove the air filter
housing and take out the filter unit.
2.
Clean with washing-up liquid and hot water.
Do not use non flammable detergents or
detergents with high flashpoint. Leave to
dry.
3.
Soak in pure engine oil. Squeeze out excess
oil, otherwise the engine will smoke when it
is started.
4.
Empty the oil from the air filter housing.
Remove any dust inside with non-flammable
detergent or detergent with a high flashpoint.
Allow to dry.
5. Fill the air filter housing with the
recommended engine oil to the level mark.
6.
Replace the air filter.
Oil volume: 60 ml.
Cleaning the collection pan
Close the fuel cock (position OFF) and remove the collection pan and O-ring. Wash with non flammable
detergent or detergent with a high flashpoint. Allow to dry and replace.
Open the fuel cock (position ON) and check for leakage.
WARNING!
Petrol is highly flammable and can be explosive in certain circumstances. Keep away from sparks
or naked flames, and do not smoke nearby.
Check that the area around the engine is dry after replacing the collection pan.
Spark plug
Spark plug type: BPR6ES(NGK) or NHSP LD F7RTC
A correct spark plug clearance helps prevent deposits on the spark plug and allows the engine to function
normally.
