OPERATION
This chapter describes basic operation (using the unit on CH16), communication on a se-
lected channel, and communication using DSC mode. There are two modes, telephone
mode and DSC mode. In telephone mode, audio communication is available, using the
handset, on CH16 or another selected channel. In DSC mode, digital selective calls (dis-
tress, urgent, safety, and routine) are available on CH70.
Basic Communication
(Telephone Mode)
This section describes the basic operating procedures for transmitting and receiving calls
using the handset. In telephone mode, communicating with the handset is as easy as using
a normal telephone.
