Minimum Fireplace
Requirements
The Universal GI 350 DV gas insert has been specifi-
cally designed to be installed into a solid fuel
burning factory built fireplace or a code approved
solid fuel burning masonry fireplace with a tile flue
liner. An acceptable fireplace cavity must have the
minimum dimensions specified in fig. 3.
Do not modify or alter the construction of the
gas insert or any of its components to enable it to fit
into a fireplace. Any modification of the insert will
void the warranty, certifications and approvals of the
unit and could be dangerous.
