7 OPERATING PROCEDURE
7.1 INTRODUCTION
The MPA-system is a marine and offshore Public Address system. It meets the requirements for PA/GA, entertainment and
distribution on board ships and mobile offshore units. The system conforms to SOLAS, IMO and IEC regulations. Based on
module design and flexible configuration, it covers a wide range of installation complexities – ranging from small single loop
systems to large duplicated systems. The operator panels are available in different layouts, with or without alarm buttons.
These panels are listed below:
1601 – Access panel with zone and EM/PA buttons, but without alarm/cancel buttons. For flush mounting.
1603 – Alarm panel with only alarm/cancel buttons. For flush mounting.
1605 – Access panel with zone, EM/PA, and Alarm/cancel buttons. For table top mounting.
1606 – Access panel with zone, EM/PA, and Alarm/cancel buttons. For 19”/ flush mounting.
1643 – Access panel with zone, EM/PA, and Alarm/cancel buttons. For wall/desk mounting in E.X areas.
The MPA-system allows operators to perform paging, emergency paging and active alarms from suitable operator panels.
Optional entertainment functions are also provided.
