WARNINGS FOR SAFE 

BATTERY USE

•  ALWAYS keep batteries away from children. 

•  Any battery may leak if mixed with a different battery type, installed 

incorrectly or if all batteries are not replaced or recharged at the same 

time.  Never mix old and new batteries.  Never mix battery types such as 

alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel cadmium).

•  Any battery may leak or explode if discarded or if an attempt is made to 

charge a battery not intended to be recharged.

•  Discard leaky batteries immediately to avoid skin burns or other personal 

injury.  Discard batteries properly according to local regulations.

•  ALWAYS remove batteries if you do not intend to use the product for an 

extended period of time.  Batteries left in the unit may leak and cause 

damage.

•  Alkaline disposable batteries are recommended.  Never mix battery 

types.  Change batteries when unit no longer functions properly.

Operation of the Electronic Unit

•  Use a Phillips head screwdriver to turn the screw and remove the door from the unit.  See Figure 9.  
  NOTE: The screw is designed to remain attached to the door.
•  Insert (2) new AA batteries (not included) as shown inside the compartment and screw the door into place.
•  Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on.
•  All of the functions are equipped with an auto-off timer.  When a function is pressed one time a single beep 

is heard and the function will automatically turn off after five minutes.  When that function is pressed again, 
two beeps will be heard and the function will automatically turn off after ten minutes.  When that function 
is pressed a third time, three beeps will be heard and the function will turn off after twenty minutes.  When 
that function is pressed a fourth time, the function will immediately turn off.

•  To transition from sleep time music to playtime music or vice-versa at any time, simply press the desired 

function button.

•  The ON/OFF button can be pressed at any time during use to turn off all functions.
•  To use the unit as an MP3 player, plug the supplied wire into the MP3 unit with the electronic unit turned on 

and use the controls on the MP3 to control the function.  Note:  There is a pocket on the side of the unit to 
store the MP3.  This pocket has an opening on the side for the supplied wire.

•  NOTE:  The nightlight has only one brightness setting.  The audio has only one volume setting.
•  NOTE:  When the MP3 cord is plugged into the electronic unit, the speaker is bypassed and no audio will 

be heard.
