ATTENTION
: If the password is lost, it is possible to memorize another one: enter the code 888888, as "Old
password" and choose a new one from the
SET PASSWORD
screen.
Restore default settings
If you want to return to the factory settings of the appliance, press
MENU
on the remote control, move
with the arrow keys to access the
SYSTEM
menu, click on
RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULT
, confirming with
OK
the password is requested.
WARNING
: In this way all the settings created by the user will be canceled and the decoder will return to
the conditions of first use.
Software update
If an update of the appliance management software is available, it can be installed using two different
sources: a USB stick or the network.
Once the software is saved on a USB stick, insert it in the appropriate front slot. Access the
SYSTEM
menu
and with the arrow keys click on
SOFTWARE UPDATE
, the system will search the storage medium for the
update file, selecting it will update the start.
WARNING
: do not turn off the appliance during the update which may take several minutes. The
installation of the new software will restore the appliance to the factory settings (first use condition), any
settings made by the user will be canceled (new password, channel tuning ...).
WARNING
: after the software update some operations could be different.
Energy saving
According to the European Directive the appliance is equipped with an energy saving function that turn off
the device after 3 hours of inactivity, the shutdown is preceded by a warning message lasting 2 minutes and
during which the function can be delayed for another 3 hours.
The period of inactivity can be changed by the user (default is 3 hours): press the
MENU
key on the remote
control, open the
TIME
menu and select
SLEEP
, using the
arrows
keys it is possible to prevent the appliance
from going automatically Standby or prolong the period of inactivity up to 12 hours (from 1 hour, in steps
of 60 minutes).
