5.0 Alarm System Unsetting Methods
The PowerSeries Pro system is capable of supporting the following alarm system unsetting
methods in accordance with BS8243-2010+A1:2014
•Prevention of entry to the supervised premises before the partition is unset.
•Unset by using the wireless key before entering the supervised premises causes or permits
the initial entry door to be unlocked.
•Unset by using the Mini Proximity tag in conjunction with one of the keypad HS2LCDPRO or
HS2LCDRFPRO8 entering the supervised premises and within the programmed entry
delay.
5.1 Unsetting the System
Depending on your system configuration, there are multiple methods you can use to unset
your system. You can unset the system using a keypad, 2-way wireless key or a proximity tag:
5.2 Unsetting the system with a keypad
Note:
When you enter the premises, the keypad sounds. To avoid an alarm condition, you
must unset the system within a specific number of seconds.
To unset the system with a keypad, complete the following step:
•Enter your access code, or present a proximity tag to the keypad reader.
5.3 Unsetting the system with a 2-way Wireless Key
Note:
When you enter the premises, the keypad sounds. To avoid an alarm condition, you
must unset the system within a specific number of seconds.
To unset the system with a 2-way Wireless Key, complete the following step:
•When the system is set, and the Armed indicator is on, press the Unset key.
Note:
The installer programs the Duration of Entry timer, and advises on the duration of the
timer. Valid entries are between 30 seconds and 4 minutes).
5.4 Engineer Reset function
The Engineer Reset function can be set to ensure that an engineer inspects the alarm system
location before the system can be reset. The installer can activate this function when they
install the system. If this function is active when an alarm occurs, you cannot set the system.
You must contact the installer.
5.5 Activating the DLS Window setting
You can use the system keypad to activate the DLS Window setting. If you activate the DLS
Window setting, an installer can download DLS software to program and control supported
security systems.
Note:
Activate the DLS Window setting only when an installer instructs you to.
To activate the DLS Window setting, complete the following steps:
1. On the keypad, press [*] [6] and enter the master code.
2. Press [05].
