Chapter 4.0 Setting the Alarm System
Note:
For European installations (EN50131 certified), the Armed indicator turns on only after
the Exit Delay.
When the Exit Delay timer expires, the system is set and the following actions occur:
•The Ready indicator remains lit.
•The Armed indicator remains on.
•The keypad stops sounding.
4.5 Canceling the setting sequence
To cancel the setting sequence, complete the following step:
•Enter your access code, or present a proximity tag to the keypad reader.
4.5.1 Silent Exit Delay
If you arm the system using the Stay key or the No Arming method [*] [9]:
•The warning beep is silenced
•The exit time doubles only for that exit period (CP-01 versions only).
Note:
For non CP-01 versions, Standard Exit Time is used.
4.6 Exit Delay Time Restart
The control panel provides an option where, if a entry/exit zone is tripped a second time prior
to the end of the exit delay, the exit delay time restarts. The exit delay timer can only be
restarted once.
Note:
Infinite Exit Delay is also available, so that the installer does not need to program the
timer. Rather, the installer will enable operation, based on British Standards (BS8243).
4.7 Alarm Cancel Window
The control panel provides a period of time in which the user can cancel the alarm
transmission (minimum duration is 5 minutes). If the programmed alarm transmission delay
has expired, canceling an alarm sends a message to the monitoring station. Upon a successful
transmission of the cancellation message, the keypad beeps 6 times. Must be enabled and
configured by the installer.
4.8 Using 2-way Wireless Keys and Proximity Tags
The 2-way wireless key allows users the ability to readily set/unset their system, and to call for
help. For information on enrolling wireless keys see "User Labels".
