SECTION 4 - POST START-UP DATA
9. The SAT LOW and HIGH SETPOINTS can be
reset in the PROGRAM key COOLING subsec-
tion using RETURN AIR, SUPPLY FAN SPEED,
OUTSIDE AIR or NONE. If NONE is selected as
the SAT RESET METHOD a 0-5 volt spgnal can
be communicated to the unit through the BAS.
10. If the supply air temperature is higher than the cur-
rent SAT LOW or HIGH SETPOINT, the control-
ler activate the economizer or compressors.
11. The economizer or compressors operate main-
taining the SAT LOW or HIGH SETPOINT.
12. When the return air temperature drops .5 degrees
below the RETURN AIR COOLING SETPOINT
the unit switch to OCCUPIED STANDBY.
13. The Supply Fan continues to operate as long as
the unit mode shows OCCUPIED STANDBY.
Starting the Unit in Cooling Mode-Flexsys
1. The unit must have 24vac to the SD terminal.
Turning the OFF/AUTO/ON rocker switch to ON
provide this signal.
2. The unit must have 24vac to OCC terminal, the
Occupied Command is being communicated, or
the internal timeclock enabled and set to go oc-
cupied at a specific time.
3. The supply fan starts after the unit goes Occupied
after a slight delay.
4. Verify that the duct static is reading correctly ver-
sus the Setpoint under the SUPPLY FAN key.
5. The unit mode under the STATUS key OCCU-
PIED STANDBY.
6. There are two unit modes that are possible on a
Flexsys unit. They are OCCUPIED COOLING
without BYPASS and OCCUPIED COOLING
with BYPASS.
7. Detailed Flexsys sequence of operation can be
found for both modes in the unit
IOM 145.05-
NOM7.
Starting the Unit in Heating
Mode-Constant Volume:
1. The unit must have 24vac to the SD terminal.
Turning the OFF/AUTO/ON rocker switch to ON
provides this signal.
2. The unit must have 24vac to OCC terminal, the
Occupied Command is being communicated, or
the internal timeclock enabled and set to go oc-
cupied at a specific time.
3. The supply fan should start after the unit goes Oc-
cupied after a slight delay.
4. The supply fan starts and runs without duct static
control.
5. The unit mode under the STATUS key is OCCU-
PIED STANDBY.
6. For the heating to become active, the unit must
switch to the Occupied Heating mode under the
STATUS key.
7. There must be a zone temperature hardwired or
communicated to the unit. This can be selected
under the PROGRAM key subsection UNIT
DATA.
8. The zone temperature is compared to the Oc-
cupied Zone Heating Setpoint found under
SETPOINTS key subsection HEATING.
9. In order to enter Occupied Heating the zone tem-
perature must be .5 degrees cooler than the Oc-
cupied Zone Cooling Setpoint.
10. The unit enters OCCUPIED HEATING LOW
mode.
11. If the zone temperature is at least 1.5 degrees
below the OCCUPIED HEATING ZONE
SETPOINT, the unit switches to OCCUPIED
HEATING HIGH mode.
12. The unit looks at current Supply Air Temperature
and compares that temperature to the 1st and 2nd
STAGE HEATING SETPOINTS.
13. If the unit is in OCCUPIED HEATING LOW
mode it references the 1st STAGE HEATING
SETPOINT for supply air temperature control.
14. If the unit is in HEATING COOLING HIGH
mode it references the 2nd STAGE HEATING
SETPOINT for supply air temperature control.
15. The heating system operates maintaining the 1st
or 2nd STAGE HEATING SETPOINT until the
zone temperature rises above the OCCUPIED
ZONE HEATING SETPOINTS.
16. The unit stays in the OCCUPIED mode, but
switches to OCCUPIED STANDBY until the
zone temperature drops again.
