SECTION 3 - PRE START-UP CHECkLIST
The controller performs the following test on the re-
maining compressors.
1. Turn COMPRESSOR B to ON.
2. Display the message “COMPRESSOR B” to the
right of the progress spinner.
3. Wait 5 seconds.
4. Turn COMPRESSOR B to OFF.
5. Display the message “ROTATION CORRECT
FOR B?”
6. Press the check key (√) if the compressor rotation
is correct.
7. Turn COMPRESSOR B to OFF.
8. Turn COMPRESSOR C to ON.
9. Display the message “COMPRESSOR C
”
to the
right of the progress spinner.
10. Wait 5 seconds.
11. Turn COMPRESSOR C to OFF.
12. Display the message “ROTATION CORRECT
FOR C?”
13. Press the check key (√) if the compressor rotation
is correct.
14. The test continues until all compressors are tested
for the correct rotation.
The Next Compressor Testing Sequence Energizes ei-
ther the Modulating Compressor A or One of the Fixed
Speed Compressors.
When Compressor A is a modulating type it loads and
unloads depending on capacity requirements from the
controller. This gives two distinct noises and should
not be confused with a defective compressor. If Com-
pressor A is a fixed speed compressor, expect standard
operation.
1. Turn COMPRESSOR A to ON.
2. Set the COMPRESSOR A LOAD output to 33%.
3. Display the message “IS COMP A AT LOAD
PTl?”
4. The compressor pumps for 5 seconds and does
not pump for 10 seconds.
5. Press the check key (√) if correct.
6. Set the COMPRESSOR A LOAD output to 67%.
7. The compressor pumps for 10 seconds and does
not pump for 5 seconds.
8. Display the message “IS COMP A AT LOAD
PT2?”
9. Press the check key (√) if correct.
10. Set the COMPRESSOR A LOAD output to 100%.
11. The compressor pumps continuously.
12. Display the message “IS COMP A AT LOAD
PT3?”
13. Press the check key (√) if correct.
14. Compressor A remains ON.
15. Display the message “TESTING COMP A”.
16. Continue operating COMPRESSOR A for 180
seconds.
17. Turn COMPRESSOR A OFF.
18. Display the message “COMP A STOPPED”.
The unit controller performs the following tests on the
remaining compressors:
1. Turn COMPRESSOR B, C, D, E, or F to ON
2. Display the message “TESTING COMPRES-
SOR B”.
3. Continue operating COMPRESSOR B for 180
seconds.
4. Turn COMPRESSOR B, C, D, E, or F OFF.
5. Display the message “COMP B, C, D, E, or F
STOPPED”.
Push the check key to verify the test is complete. Con-
tinue the compressor test until you have tested all com-
pressors. Push the down arrow to move to the next test.
DAMPER TEST (IF AVAILABLE)
To initiate the test, press the check key. The control
asks you ARE YOU SURE? Press the check key again.
The Unit Controller performs the following sequence:
1. Set the OUTSIDE AIR/RETURN AIR DAMPER
to 50%.
2. Set the BYPASS DAMPER to 50%.
Wait 45 seconds and prompt message#1
ALL DAMPERS OPEN TO 50%?
