4.2.5 Pager/Modem Tab
The Pager/Modem tab allows the user to configure the optional paging capabilities of the workstation. These settings
match the settings required for the specific pager. Settings are described in
Pager notifications are only intended to be transmitted to a limited number of staff for maintenance and system status
purposes. This feature is approved by UL as supplementary.

Add Pager
Click to display a pager name dialog box. Enter a unique pager
name and click

Highlight a pager name in the list and click to delete it.
Pager List:
Click the fields below the headings to enter/modify text or select options from a drop-down list.

Automatically populates the pager name when a pager is added.

Enter the pager PIN number.

Enable the pager selected in the pager list field.

Sample Output:
Displays a sample of the event message that will be sent to the selected pager using the format
configured above.
Modem:
Displays settings for the connected modem.
Dialing Delay (Sec.)
10 to 30 seconds
The time the modem waits before dialing the pager phone
number after the event occurs. (Default is 10 seconds)
Retry Delay (Sec.)
10 to 30 seconds
The time the modem waits before re-dialing the pager phone
number. (Default is 10 seconds)
Number of Retries
0 to 3
The number of times the modem tries to send the message if it
fails. (Default is 2)
Time Out (Sec.)
45 to 300 seconds
The maximum time the modem will spend trying to contact the
pager. (Default is 90 seconds)
