Installation

lation instructions and all measurements must be adhered

and B S. 6 8 9 1 (N atural G as ) and B S.5 4 82 ( L P G as ) 1 994 ,
the G as S a f et y ( Installation & U se ) R e g ulations , the Buildin g

the Buildin g standards (S cotland ) (C onsolidated ) R e g ula-

• T he f an motor o f this cooker hood incor p orates a cut-out
de v ice w hich w ill o p erate i f the cooker hood is installed
belo w the minimum hei g ht recommended under section
‘C learance Hei g ht ’, or i f the motor becomes o v erheated .
I f the cut-out de v ice is acti v ated , s w itch o ff the f an motor
and allo w the cooker hood to cool . T he cut-out de v ice w ill
reset itsel f w hen the f an motor has cooled si g ni f icantl y.

cabinets must not o v erhan g the hob .
• I f the room w here the hood is to be used contains a f uel
burnin g a pp liance such as a central heatin g boiler then its
f lue must be o f the room sealed or balanced f lue t yp e .
• I f other t yp es o f f lue or a pp liances are f itted ensure that
there is an ade q uate su pp l y o f air to the room .
