c) A means of isolating the fire must be fitted upstream of the appliance to allow servicing etc to be
carried out. (If concealed fixing is required refer to the ‘Gas connection’ section in the ‘Installation

d) The gas supply must be made with rigid or semi-rigid pipe.
Unpacking
When unpacking refer to the check list below to ensure that all components are present before
commencing installation.
Do not unwrap the front or the coal beds until required to avoid accidental damage.

Installation instructions
Preparing the Appliance
(See Fig. 6)
Carefully remove the loose coal pack, side coal supports, front coal bed and rear coal bed.
Slacken and remove the 2 nuts securing the burner to the fire box. Then, lift the burner tray out of
the fire box and place to one side. The nuts are required and should be kept safe for re-assembly.
