Next, loosely attach the side mounts to the back of the side panels using
the 5/16”-18 X 5/8” bolts and 5/16”-18 serr. flange nuts. Make sure that
the side with the two slots is against the back of the panel and the side
with the one slot is sticking out towards the tailgate. Then, remove the
small swiveling tie down rings by the front of the bed from both sides.
These will be used later to fasten the panels into place.
