Replacing the DC Motor and Adjusting the Motor Belt Tension
To remove:
1. Remove the face cover, bed cover, front cover
and rear cover.
2. Remove the motor belt.
3. Remove the 2 setscrews and remove the DC
motor.
To attach:
4. Attach a new motor with the 2 setscrews.
5. Adjust the motor belt tension and tighten the
setscrews.
6. Attach the rear cover, front cover, bed cover and
front cover.
Adjusting the motor belt tension:
The motor belt should deflect 7 to 9 mm when 300
grams of pressure is applied to the center of the
belt.
1. Tighten the 2 setscrews loosely.
2. Adjust the belt deflection to 5 mm by moving the
DC motoe up or down while pressing the center
of the belt with 200 grams of pressure.
3. Tighten the setscrews firmly.
