Turn the fine mode switching lever to STD. to sew the
top cover stitch.

Insert a piece of scrap fabric.
Lower the presser foot lifter and sew 3 to 5 cover
stitches.
Raise the needle to the highest position by turning
the handwheel toward you to match the mark on the
machine with the setting mark on the handwheel.
Raise the presser foot lifter.
Lower the top cover stitch lever to set the top cover
stitch spreader.
