Figure 3D-6. Radiator, Hydraulic Oil Cooler, and Dust Screen
Removal
1. Shut off the engine and remove the ignition key.
2. Allow the coolant to cool completely and remove
the radiator cap.
3. Remove the dust screen knobs and dust screen.
4. Disconnect the coolant reservoir hose at the radia-
tor overflow outlet.
5. Place a suitable container underneath the radiator
petcock drain. Drain the coolant system.
6. Disconnect and remove the upper and lower radi-
ator hoses.
7. Remove three bolts on each side of the shroud.
Remove the shroud and coolant reservoir.
8. While supporting the radiator, remove three
mounting bolts on each side of the radiator.
9. Carefully remove the radiator from the mount.
Installation
1. Place the radiator in position on the radiator
mount and secure with three bolts on each side.
2. Position the shroud and coolant reservoir on the
radiator. Secure with three bolts on each side.
3. Install the upper and lower radiator hoses. Secure
the hoses with hose clamps.
4. Ensure the drain petcock is closed and fill with a
50/50 mixture of ethylene glycol based antifreeze
and clean fresh water.
5. Carefully inspect the radiator cap for wear and
damage, replace if necessary. Install the radiator
cap on the radiator.
6. Install the coolant reservoir hose on the radiator
overflow outlet.
7. Install the dust screen over the radiator and
hydraulic oil cooler. Secure the screen with the
knobs.
8. Using the instructions in the Safety and Operation
manual, start the engine and allow the engine to
warm to operating temperature. Fill the coolant
reservoir to the hot level.
CAUTION
Allow the engine coolant to completely cool before
removing the radiator cap. Hot coolant sprayed from
the cap can cause serious personal injury.
