2. Remove socket-head screw (5), lock washer (6), and
flat washer (not shown), and remove collar (7) and
washer (4) from lift arm pivot shaft (2).
3. Inspect lift arm shaft bushings (3). Remove only if
replacement is required.
4. Roll the cutting unit forward until yoke (1) clears lift
arm pivot shaft (2).
5. Roll cutting unit out from either side of machine.

6. Remove screws (13), flat washers (12), deck pivot
(10), and bushing (9) from both sides of yoke (8) and
frame (11).
7. Remove deck yoke (8) from frame (11).
Installation Notes
• Install the rear deck yoke by reversing the order of
removal.
• Apply grease on lift arm pivot shaft bushings and lift
arm pivot shaft before installation. (Refer to “Safety,
Operation, and Maintenance Manual” for grease
specifications.)
Deck Caster Wheels
Removal, Inspection, and Installation
See Figures 8-14 through 8-16.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-7.)
2. Raise and support cutting deck approximately six
inches above ground to allow room to remove caster
from deck frame.
3. Stop engine, set parking brake, and remove ignition
key.

4. Remove lock pin (1) and flat washer (3) from caster
yoke shaft (2).
5. Support caster wheel assembly (5).
6. Pull caster down to remove from bottom of frame (4).

7. Inspect caster wheel yoke shaft (6) and washer (7)
for wear and damage and replace as necessary.
