5. Hold the cylinder weldment (11) vertically, and fill to
within 2.75—3.00 in. (70—75 mm) from the top edge
of the cylinder weldment with 80W-90 oil.
6. Install the piston rod assembly (10) into the cylinder
weldment (11), and press on the piston rod until the
assembly “bottoms” in the cylinder. Release pressure
on the rod and allow the piston assembly to find its
“free” position.

7. Install new O-rings (12 and 13) on the end cap (14).
8. Apply a thin film of 80W-90 oil on the O-rings (12 and
13).

9. Install the end cap (15) in the cylinder weldment (16).

10. Install snap ring (17).
11. Press on the piston rod (18) to exhaust any excess
oil through the hole (19).
