Remedy
Rotary drive motors do not reach full
speed.
Engine speed is insufficient, not set to
specification.
Check/adjust engine speed. (Refer to
“Safety, Operation, and Maintenance
Manual.”)
Rotary drive motors and/or hydraulic
system performance is reduced.
Check hydraulic system performance
(pump output, motor operation, valve
operation, relief valve settings, etc.).
(See “Instrument Test Procedures” on
page 6-29.)
Rotary drive motors do not engage.
Mow switch is not engaged.
Engage mow switch. (Refer to “Safety,
Operation, and Maintenance Manual.”)
Mow switch is faulty.
Test mow switch. (See “Rocker Switches”
Mow solenoid is faulty.
Test mow solenoid. (See “Solenoid Test”
on page 4-68.) (See “Mow Circuit” on
page 4-56.)
Operator not in seat.
Operator must be in seat before engaging
mower.
Cutting unit(s) do not lower completely to
ground.
Cutting unit(s) movement is restricted.
Check/remove cutting unit restriction.
Lift/lower circuit is faulty.
Test lift/lower circuit. (See “Symptom:
Lower solenoid does not energize.” on
page 4-55.)
Cutting unit(s) do not rise off ground.
Faulty lift cylinder.
Test lift system. (See “Lift/Steer Pump
Test” on page 6-41.) (See “Cutting
Unit/Charge Pump Test” on page 6-31.)
Cutting units have too much weight on
them.
Adjust weight transfer as necessary. Use
weight transfer switch to transfer weight
off of the cutting units. (Refer to “Safety,
Operation, and Maintenance Manual.”)
Hydraulic system performance is reduced.
Check hydraulic system performance
(pump output, motor operation, valve
operation, relief valve settings, etc.).
(See “Instrument Test Procedures” on
page 6-29.)
Cutting unit roller does not rotate.
Roller is out of round and restricted by
scraper and/or scraper is bent.
Replace roller or scraper. (See “Deck
Roller bearing is faulty.
Replace roller bearing. (See “Deck Roller”
