The product is designed in Denmark by Jacob Jensen, whose products have gained
international recognition for their original, simple and classic design. Jacob Jensen
has received around 100 prizes from around the world and has 19 products included
in The Design Study Collection and The Design Collection of the Museum of Modern
Art in New York.

Flatbed Toaster is equipped with a LED display indicating the
toasting level as well as defrosting and reheating modes. You have nine choices of
toasting levels in order to fit the toasting to your desire. Furthermore, the toaster is
equipped with a crumb tray with an automatic pull out and auto lock function.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
•
Read the instructions carefully before use.
•
Use this appliance only for its use as described in this manual. Do not use
attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
•
This unit is for household use only. Do not use for commercial or industrial
purposes.
•
Do not use outdoors.
•
Make sure the product is in good condition after you have removed the
packing.
•
Before you connect the appliance to the supply mains, check that the voltage
indicated on the data plate found underneath the machine, corresponds to that
of the local mains.
•
Always plug the appliance to a grounded electrical outlet.
•
Use of extension cords may cause damage, injuries and/or accidents.
•
The power cord must not come into contact with hot surfaces.
•
Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Always unplug immediately
after use.
•
Keep the appliance away from heated surfaces.
•
The temperature of accessible surface may get hot when the appliance is
operating.
•
Unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance operation.
•
Never leave the appliance within the reach of children or incapacitated persons.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
•
dO NOT TOUCH THE APPLIANCE WHEN IN USE TO PREVENT bURNS.

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid a hazard.
•
After having disconnected the power plug and after the appliance has cooled
down, the appliance must be cleaned only with a non-abrasive, slightly
dampened cloth, adding a few drops of neutral, non-aggressive detergent
(never use solvents that damage the paint).
•
Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
•
Never use sharp metal utensils for cleaning the interior of the appliance.
•
The accessible parts of the appliance become hot during use. Avoid touching
them.
•
Do not set dishes or other objects on top of the appliance during use.
•
Bread may burn. Therefore do not use the appliance near or below combustible
materials, such as curtains.
•
Do not immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or any other liquid.
It can cause a short circuit.
•
In the event of faults, defects or a suspected defect, immediately take the plug
out of the socket-outlet. Never put the defective appliance into operation.
ONLY AUTHORISEd SERVICE CENTRES CAN MAKE REPAIRS. The manufacturer
declines all responsibility for any damage caused by repair jobs performed
incorrectly.

Do not twist the power cord or wind it around the appliance while still hot.
•

In the event that you decide to dispose of the appliance, we advise you to make
it inoperative by cutting off the power cord. We also recommend that any parts
that could be dangerous be rendered harmless, especially for children, who may
play with the appliance or its parts.

Packaging must never be left within the reach of children since it is potentially
dangerous.
•
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
a separate remote system.

OPERATION PRECAUTIONS
•
Do not use food products that may drip during toasting. It can cause fire. It
is also important to clean the crumb tray (D) before use. Do never use the
appliance without the crumb tray.
•
Never use the appliance without the bread grill being locked into position.
•
do not insert metallic utensils into the appliance. They could damage the
heating rods. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCKS.
PRIOR TO FIRST USE
•
Wipe the grill (F) and the external surfaces with a damp cloth and let the
appliance dry.
•
Turn on the appliance, and allow it to complete an entire toasting cycle without
any bread on the grill, in order to remove any oil residue from the manufacture.
Notice: The first few times you are using the appliance, you may experience a
small amount of smoke or odour. This is due to the excess material from the
manufacturing process being burnt off. It is completely normal, and the smoke/
smell will soon disappear.
