Deleting jobs / reset to factory settings (MC 1)
The control unit has 2 possibilities:
1. to delete all user jobs, display ‘rES 1 – Job’ or
2. to reset all values to factory settings, display ‘rES 2 – ALL’.
Press the key Fx until ‘EC 1’ appears in the display.
Now tip 3 times on key Fx until ‘rES 1 – Job’ in the display appears.
With the middle control knob you can change between ‘rES 1 – Job’ or ‘rES 2 – ALL’.
Press the key ‘Gas test’ until the word ‘clr’ disappears in the right display.
The reset is finished.
Note: After the function reset ALL it is necessary to check all parameters of the unit, whether the
parameters have the right values !
Gas test (MC 1-2)
To open the gas valve, press the control key ‘gas test’ for more then 1 second. The gas valve is now
open for 20 seconds. After this time the gas valve closes automatically. To close the gas valve earlier,
press the control key again.
Wire feed in (MC 1-2)
In normal operation (not Job mode!) the wire-feed-in function will be activated by pressing the control
key ‘wire-feed’. The motor is running as long as the key is pressed. The speed can be adjusted by the
left rotating knob. Normally the speed is 5/min.
Operation mode MIG, MMA, TIG (MC 1-2)
By tipping on the control key, the unit changes between MIG, MMA and TIG mode. The LED of each
mode is light. The TIG function is only lift arc without HF.
Remote control EC 1/2 (MC 1)
It is possible to connect 1 or 2 potentiometer as remote control at the control unit.
The following functions can be adjusted by the potentiometer:
- Choc:
correction of the welding choke
- Hand:
manual adjustment of the wire speed (Hand mode)
- Auto:
Correction of the wire feed speed (automatic mode)
- StS:
start speed
- bUb:
burn back correction
- PrG:
pre gas time
- PoG:
post gas time
- SPt:
spot time
- Soll:
the welding power of the machine in MIG mode (only MC 1)
- Curr:
the welding power of the machine in MMA and TIG mode (only MC 1)
EC 1 means external control 1, EC 2 means external control 2.
To assign a function to a potentiometer, press Fx until ‘EC 1’ appears in the display.
Once more tipping on the key Fx to select EC 2. With the middle rotating knob, select the function as described
above (in the middle display).
Store the function by tipping on the key ‘wire-feed in’.
Note: In this type of machine the right display must show the word ‚CAn’
The values with the display ‘int’ do not work with this machine!
e.g.: EC1 - Choc - CAn
Now it is possible to change the value of the choc with potentiometer 1.
