During welding:
Operation mode MIG:
During the welding operation, the choc function is accessed and can be modified by tapping the button

The left display shows Choc, in the middle display is the current value.
Now, with the middle knob, the value can be changed.
By another tap on the
►
button, the arc length correction is shown in the middle display.
Now, with the middle knob, the value can be changed between -3.0V and + 3.0V.
To block the control unit - CODE (MC 1)
To block the control unit:
Tip on key Fx as long as ‘CodE’ appears in the display. Now rotate the middle (MC 1) rotating knob to a number
between 0001 and 9999.
If the right number is in the display press the key ‘wire-feed-in’. Now the control unit is blocked. Only the
functions gas test, wire-feed-in and wire-speed correction are available. All other functions are blocked.
To unlock the control box, tip again on the Fx key, until ‘CodE’ appears.
Now rotate to the same number, as for blocking. After tipping on the key ‘wire-feed-in’ the control unit is
unlocked. The value 0000 is not allowed.
Option Fx (MC 1)
To adjust the low-level basic settings, press the control key ‘Fx’ for more then 1 second. The following
options can be changed:
- EC 1/2: Specify the functions of the remote control potentiometer (see next page)
- Hold: adjust the time for the display hold (0 = endless, -> 25s)
- Reset the jobs or factory settings (see next chapter)
- Torch type and length set: tap until ‚tch’ appears in the left display,
in the middle display the following 3-digit numeral appears:
1st digit: 1 = gas cooled torch, 2 = water cooled torch
2nd + 3rd digit: length of the torch (2, 3 or 4m)
adjust with the rotating knob exactly the mounted torch
e.g.: 204 = water cooled torch with 4m length
- Remaining cable length set (earth cable and perhaps torch hose package)
tap until ‚cbl’ appears in the left display, now adjust the complete cable length
(without torch cable length!) in the right display.
(the middle display shows the diameter of the cable: e.g. 35mm²)
e.g.: 12 = complete length of all cables 12m (maximum 40m)
Note: The torch type and the cable length must be set exactly, otherwise the
machine is not welding correctly.
To store the new settings press the wire-feed-in control key (right down)
Job load or store (MC 1)
It is possible to store 100 user defined jobs in the control box.
After a short tip on the control key ‘JOB LOAD’ the Job menu will be open.
The left display shows ‚Job’.
The middle display shows the status of the memory cell.
These are:
- free
>
memory cell free
- used >
memory used
- ==
>
Data already load into the MC unit
The right display shows the job number.
After the job menu is open, it is possible to select the job number by rotating the middle knob.
Now there is the possibility to load a stored job by pressing the control key ‘LOAD’, or to store the actual
settings by pressing the control key ‘STORE’ (in the middle display the symbol == apears).
To overwrite a used memory cell, press the ‘STORE’ key for more then 1 second.
