iPhone/iPod operation
This unit can support iPhone 3G/3GS/4 and various models of iPod players with 30-pin

inserting the iPhone/iPod and selecting iPod mode
1. Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select the iPod mode.
2. Insert the Universal iPod dock adapter (not included) into the dock
until it sits firmly in place.
3. Insert your iPhone/iPod into the dock.
4. If the iPhone/iPod is connected, the “iPod Connected” indicator
will show on the display, it will take around 10 seconds to allow
the unit to identify the iPhone/iPod.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN button to playback the current
track.
6. Select your desired music, etc., and play the connected iPhone/iPod as usual.
You can use either the iPhone/iPod or the remote control.
a) Press the PLAY/PAUSE/SCAN button to start/pause playback.
b) Press the STOP button to stop playback.
c) Press the SKIP/TUNE SEARCH
buttons to select the previous or next music
file.
d) Turn the /– control on the unit or press the /– on the remote
control to adjust the volume.
e) Press the MENU/INFO button to go to the previous iPhone/iPod menu.
f) Press the PRESET/ARROW buttons to select the iPhone/iPod menu and then
press the SELECT/FM MO./ST. button to enter the selected menu.
g) Press the REPEAT button on the remote control to play soundtracks repeatedly.
Some of the older iPod versions do not support this function.
h) Press the RANDOM button on the remote control to play soundtracks randomly.
Some of the older iPod versions do not support this function.
• Your iPhone/iPod will automatically start charging once it is docked.
• Switch off your iPod while listening to the radio to prevent signal interference.
• While your iPhone/iPod is docked, you can control it from the main unit, the remote
control or from the iPod directly.
• Use your iPhone/iPod controls to manually select your iPhone/iPod’s music menu, then
proceed to the next operation.
• This unit does not support controlling iPod 4

, iPod mini or earlier generation iPod. You
can operate your iPod directly for playback features.
While in iPod mode with iPhone/iPod slotted, it will automatically switch to Standby
mode in about 4 hours. “AUTO OFF” will flash on the display 10 minutes before switching
to Standby mode. You can reset the 4-hour countdown by pressing INTRO button while
“AUTO OFF” is flashing.
