anywhere and listen to crystal-clear sound from your iPod®, MP3 or any 
other sound source—including your computer! Please read this manual 
thoroughly, especially noting safety and care instructions. This package 
contains, 1 Wireless Speaker, 1-2.4GHz Transmitter, 2 AC Power Adapter, 1 
Remote Control, 7 Docking Adapters for iPod, 1 - 3.5mm Audio Cable, 1 Wall 
Mount and 1 User’s Manual.

• Avoid rough handling such as bumping or dropping.

• Avoid extreme temperatures. For best results, use between 39° F and 120° F
  (4° C and 38° C).

• Clean using only a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaners with harsh  
  chemical agents or detergents.

• To avoid damaging the unit, never place it near radiators, in front of heating  
  vents, in direct sunlight, or near water.

Special Care and Handling

Speaker Front
Standby:

 When the power supply is properly connected, the blue digital 

indicator will be illuminated and the time will show. Press STANDBY to turn the 
Speaker on. By default the AUX indicator will be illuminated. 

Select:

 Press SELECT to cycle through 

modes in the following order: AUX, 
WIRELESS, AM Radio and FM Radio. The 
indicator light will display which mode 
you are in.

Vol+/Vol-: 

Use these buttons to 

increase or decrease the volume.

Speaker Back
DC Input:

 Connect the 12V DC power supply into this port. 

AUX: 

 Input Connection for an auxiliary analog stereo audio signal.

FM Antenna: 

Extend this flexible 

attenna to receive FM radio signals.

Note:

 AM radio does not require 

an antenna.

Installing Batteries Into The Transmitter

1. Open the battery cover located underneath the transmitter.
2. Insert 2 AAA batteries as shown in the diagram on the inside of the compartment.

Remote Control
RX: 

Turns the Speaker on and off.

TX: 

Turns the docking iPod in the Transmitter on and off.

Channel:

 Selects 2.4GHz transmitting channels and 

search transmitter for equipment.

Function: 

Same as select on the front of the speaker, this

button cycles through the four modes (AUX, WIRELESS, 
AM and FM)

Mute: 

Press to instantly mute the sound. 

                   Press to return to the previous song. 
                   Press to begin playing a song or press while playing to pause a song. 
                   Press to skip to the next song.

Time Set: 

Press this button to set the time. The blue, digital display of the Speaker 

will fl ash. Select between Hour and Minute by pressing the button again.

ALM Set: 

Press to set the alarm. The blue digital time display on the speaker will 

flash. Select between hour and minute using the UP and DOWN buttons.

ALM On/Off: 

Controls alarms on/off function. When alarm is activated the 

ALARM ON indicator light will illuminate.

Wake-To: 

This button selects 1 of 12 built-in alarm melodies. 

      In Radio mode, press and hold these buttons for a few seconds to search 
through radio frequencies. In Time or Alarm mode, use to increase or decrease the 
hours and minutes.

Vol+/Vol-: 

Use these buttons to increase or decrease the volume.

ALM Clear: 

Press when you want to shut off the alarm.

Playing An iPod Via 2.4g Transmitter
1

. Make sure to properly supply power to the transmitter either via 2 AAA batteries   

or by connecting the 9V-15V DC power supply.

. Properly connect the 12V power supply into the Speaker.

. Select a proper docking adapter and properly connect your iPod to the 

transmitter.

. Press the STANDBY button on the front of the Speaker to turn it on. Please make 

sure that Wireless mode is selected.

. Press PLAY button on the iPod or Remote Control to begin playing.

. Select the best channel by pressing the CHANNEL button until the Speaker 

receives the iPod signal from the transmitter.

. Adjust the volume using the VOL+/VOL- buttons. Note: Use the TX button to 

turn off the power supply when transmitter is not in use to conserve battery life.

Setting The Time
1

. Press the TIME SET button on the Remote Control. The hour or minute will fl ash 

on the Speaker.

2

. Press TIME SET to switch between hour and minute. 

Then use the       and       buttons to adjust the time.

EXCALIBUR ELECTRONICS, INC., warrants to the original consumer that its products are free 
from any electrical or mechanical defects for a period of 90 DAYS from the date of purchase. If 
any such defect is discovered within the warranty period, EXCALIBUR ELECTRONICS, INC., will 
repair or replace the unit free of charge upon receipt of the unit, shipped postage prepaid and 
insured to the factory address below. The warranty covers normal consumer use and does not 
cover damage that occurs in shipment or failure that results from alterations, accident, misuse, 
abuse, neglect, wear and tear, inadequate maintenance, commercial use, or unreasonable use 
of the unit. Removal of the top panel voids all warranties. This warranty does not cover cost of 
repairs made or attempted outside of the factory.  Any applicable implied warranties, including 
warranties of merchantability and fitness, are hereby limited to 90 DAYS from the date of 
purchase. Consequential or incidental damages resulting from a breach of any applicable 
express or implied warranties are hereby excluded.  Some states do not allow limitations on the 
duration of implied warranties and do not allow exclusion of incidental or consequential 
damages, so the above limitations and exclusions in these instances may not apply. The only

Ship the unit carefully packed, preferably in the original carton, and send it prepaid, and 
adequately insured. Include a letter detailing the complaint, along with your daytime 
telephone number, inside the shipping carton. If your warranty has expired and you want an 
estimated fee for service, write to the above address, specifying the model and the problem.

Limited 90-Day Warranty

• The SOUNDMASTER™ Wireless AM/FM Speaker uses two AA batteries 
  (not included).
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
 (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the unit to avoid battery leakage.
• Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
• Remove batteries and store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• To avoid explosion or leakage, do not dispose of batteries in a fire or attempt  
  to recharge alkaline or other non-rechargeable batteries.

Setting The Alarm

. Press the ALM SET button on the Remote Control. The hour or minute will flash 

on the Speaker.  Press ALM SET button to switch between hour and minute

Playing Auxiliary Audio Sources
1

. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the audio output of the desired 

device (mp3, cd player, etc.), and connect the other end into the aux audio input port.

. Press standby to turn on the speaker.

Selecting Radio Functions

Use the SELECT button on the front panel of the Speaker or the function button on 
the Remote Control to change to FM or AM radio mode.  Use the       and       buttons 
to find your favorite radio station.
