Dear customer,
Thank you very much for the trust you have placed in us. You have bought one of the most effective, compact and reliable
battery and light testers in its class.
Please read these instructions for use carefully to familiarize yourself with the product prior to putting it into operation.

This device is no toy and must not be used by children! Danger to life!

The use of the device under unfavourable environmental conditions must be avoided under all circumstances.
Unfavourable environmental conditions include: ambient temperatures above 50°C, flammable gases, solvents, vapors,
dust, relative humidity in excess of 80 %, and moisture.

Do not spill any liquids over the device. There is an extreme risk of fire or of a perilous electrical shock. However, if an
accident like this happens, immediately disconnect the AC adapter from the mains socket and consult a specialist.

Never use the device immediately after having moved it from a cold into a warm room. The condensation water being
produced in such a case may destroy the device. Let the device adapt to ambient temperature and only put it into
operation after the condensation water has evaporated.

The device must only be operated in dry and closed rooms.

If there is reason to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be switched off immediately and
secured against unintentional operation. Safe operation can no longer be assumed if the device is not functioning, has
visible damage, has been damaged in transport, or after storage under unfavourable conditions.

Service and repairs may only be carried out by authorized and qualified personnel.

Never place the device on an unstable surface. Persons might be injured if the device falls down.

In industrial premises, the relevant accident prevention regulations of the society of the commercial employers’ liability
insurance associations for electrical systems and equipment must be observed.

Do not leave the packaging material lying around heedlessly; plastic foils/ bags, polystyrene parts etc. could become
toys that are dangerous to children.

Use a 230V/50 Hz (10/16 A) mains socket of the public power supply as power source only. Never try to operate the
device on any other voltage!

The mains socket must be in direct proximity of the device and easily accessible.

When covers are opened or parts are removed (unless this is possible by hand), voltaged parts may be uncovered.
Connection points may also be voltaged. Prior to a maintenance operation or repair or an exchange of parts or
assemblies, the device must be disconnected from all voltage sources if it is necessary to open the device. If it is
unavoidable to perform a maintenance or repair operation on the energized open device, then this may only be done by
a trained specialist who is thoroughly familiar with the associated dangers and the relevant regulations for this.

The AC adapter must never be inserted into or removed from the mains socket with wet hands.

Always remove the device from the mains socket by pulling the AC adapter.

The connection cable must not be squeezed or damaged by sharp edges.

Before cleaning the device always remove the mains cable from the mains socket. The device must only be cleaned
with a wet cloth.

The separate testing wire must only be used to perform a continuity check in idle condition.

Never perform volt measurements!

This device is only suited to test batteries. Never measure direct voltages above 9 volt.

This device must not be used to test car and motorbike batteries of 6 V and 12 V.

Never measure alternating voltages.

This device must not be used in electric circuits.

Check your tester on damages before every measurement.

Press the buttons with both hands when performing the light function test.

Never reach into the light sockets. Do not insert foreign objects into the light socket.
Intended use
The intended use includes the testing of filament bulbs, energy saving light bulbs,
batteries, accumulators, round cells, fuses.
