• The main voltage must correspond to the one
marked on the technical data plate. Do not use
other sources of power.
• The use of a safety circuit-breaker is
recommended for the power supply line for an
intervention range of 10 to 30 rated mA. Consult a
reliable electrician.
• Before inserting the plug in the mains socket,
make sure that the socket ratings are correct and
correspond to those indicated on the rating label on
the appliance.
CAUTION: touching electrified parts may cause
death by electric shock or burn.
• Never move the appliance by pulling at the
cables.
• Always guide the connection line safely.
• Do not use power tools near flammable liquids
or gases.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply before transporting it to other places.
CAUTION: The appliance should always be
switched off at the mains before disconnecting any
plug and socket connector or extension cables.
• Do not wire an extension cable directly into your
device yourself. Instead, take the device to your
nearest Performance Power service agent.

Specific safety rules
• Pump may be heavy. If in doubt, take appropriate
precautions.
• Motor must be grounded and suitable for the
environment in which it is used. Do not use where
explosion-proof motors are required.
• Do not allow liquids to come into contact with
the motor, or any electrical components.
• Never attempt any service work while the unit is
still connected to any electrical power source.
• This pump contains rotating parts. Use caution.
• When working on or around pump, be aware
of what liquid is/has been pumped. If liquid is
potentially harmful, take appropriate precautions.
• Never use any part of the wiring/electrical
system to lift or move the equipment. This could
cause a failure of the electrical system, resulting in
severe shock or death.
• Do not operate this pump or allow others to
operate it until the instructions and warnings have
been read and are understood by all involved.
• Never work with equipment you feel may be
unsafe.
• Pursuant to safety rules the extension cord to be
used must have a ground wire connected via the
plug to the main circuit ground.
Use of an improper extension cord may
be hazardous! The extension cord and
its connectors must be waterproof and
approved for outdoor use.
• If the device’s cable must be replaced, use only a
power cable provided by the manufacturer.
• never handle the plug with wet hands. Keep
cable connectors dry, and make sure they do not lie
in the water or on the ground.
• Use a strain relief device with extension cords to
relieve tension.
• To prevent damage of power or extension cords
should not be driven over, squeezed or stretched.
Pro tect the cables against overheating, contact with
oils or sharp edges.
Suspending the machine on the current-
conducting cable during the operation
in wells and similar sites shall be
forbidden.
• Before using the device check it and its accesso-
ries for proper condition and operating safety. A
faulty device must not be used.
• It is prohibited to pump poisonous, flammable,
aggressive or explosive substances, or food.
• Temperature of the liquid being pumped must
