good condition, do not use the appliance; take it to
an authorized service center instead.
When tool is used outdoors, only use an
•
extension cable that is suitable for outdoor work
and so marked. Keep it away from the working area,
from damp, wet or oily surfaces and away from heat
and fuels.
Specific safety rules
Recharge only with the charger specified by the
•
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create risk of fire when used
with another battery pack.
Use power tools only with specifically designated
•
battery packs. The use of any other battery packs
may create risk of injury and fire.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away
•
from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects,
that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together
may cause burns or fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be
•
ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact
accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation
or burns.
Using an attachment and charger not
•
recommended may result in a risk of fire, electric
shock, or injury to people.
Before screwing into a wall, in case of doubt
•
check with a metal/voltage detector that you are
not breaking into electricity, gas or water supply
lines.
Before lay down the Screwdriver, make sure that
•
all moving parts have stopped.
Avoid frequent stalling when screwing or drilling,
•
as this could damage the batteries.
Only connect the charging device to an AC
•
supply.
Charge Screwdriver battery only with the
•
appropriate charging device.
The charging device and the Screwdriver must
•
be protected from moisture!
Do not use the charging device outdoors.
•
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
•
Do not store or use the tool and battery cell
•
in locations where the temperature may reach
or exceed 39°C (such as outside sheds or metal
building in summer).
Always charge the battery cell between
•
temperatures 0°C to 30°C. Ideal charging
temperature is 15°C to 25°C.
Battery safety rules
(CED-3,6)
The battery in this tool has been shipped in a
•
low charge condition. You should fully charge the
battery pack before use.
To ensure the longest battery life and the best
•
battery performance, always charge the battery
when the temperature is between 18-24°C . Do not
charge the battery when the temperature is below
0°C or higher than 40°C. This is important. Failure to
observe this safety rule could cause serious damage
to the battery.
Do not incinerate the battery even if it is
•
seriously damaged or can no longer hold a charge.
The battery can explode in a fire.
A small leakage of liquid from the battery may
•
occur under extreme usage or temperature. This
does not necessarily indicate a failure of the battery.
However, if the outer seal is broken this leakage
comes into contact with you.
(CED-3,6L)
The battery charger supplied is matched to the
•
Li-ion battery installed in the machine.
Do not use another battery charger.
•
The Li-ion battery is protected against deep
•
discharging. When the battery is empty, the machine
is switched off by means of a protective circuit: The
tool holder no longer rotates.
In a warm environment or after heavy use, the
•
battery pack may become too hot. Allow time for
the battery to cool down before recharging.
When the battery is charged for the first time
•
and after prolonged storage, the battery will only
accept approximately 60%charge. However, after
several charge and discharge cycles the battery will
accept a 100% charge.
Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings
on this manual. If any parts are missing or broken,
please call IVT assistance center.
Initial operation
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power
supply voltage must match the information quoted
on the tool identification plate.
