Maintenance
8.1
Device maintenance
This chapter describes preventive and regular maintenance for the EndoPAT
TM
x system.
Only qualified medical personnel should use this equipment. In the event of equipment
malfunction all repairs should be executed by qualified Itamar Medical personnel or
authorized service agents.
Maintenance instructions should be followed closely to avoid unnecessary equipment failure
or potential health hazards to the user or patient.
1.
Inspect all cords and ensure they are not frayed or damaged. Verify that all plugs,
connectors and cables are securely connected. Gently wrap tubes around the rear panel
of the device.

The EndoPAT
TM
x device should be free of dirt and debris. Using a soft, slightly damp
cloth, gently wipe the exterior of the EndoPAT
TM
x device, avoiding contact with open
vents and plugs.
3.
Used probes should be discarded after each use and replaced with new ones.
NOTE
When the device is stored or not used for long durations, it is recommended
to keep the probes connected to their connector. This would prevenet dast
and humidity from entering the device’s pneumatic system.
