Note on CE conformity with incomplete machines:

linear units comply with CE guidelines. They are classed as incomplete machines as defined in the
Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and therefore do not explicitly bear the CE mark.
Only after the conformity assessment procedures for the machine have been completed is the (com-
plete) machine or system in which these linear units are installed awarded the CE mark by the manu-
facturer or distributor of the machine.
All other machine parts and/or machine components to which the CE safety guidelines apply must not
be commissioned until all the relevant requirements of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC are met.
