SPRING LOADED HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER
The suspension features cam-type adjusters used for varying the preload of the supporting springs
to suit the load and the road conditions. The degree of tension on the springs is adjustable allowing
two positions. The first (lower) position corresponds to the load due to the motorcycle’s own
weight, the driver’s and one passenger’s (sitting in the sidecar) weight; the second (upper) position
of the adjuster corresponds to the maximum load.
When the motorcycle is used under the maximum load, adjust the spring in the sidecar wheel
shock absorber simultaneously while adjusting the compression of the spring in the motorcycle
shock absorbers.
Care of shock absorbers.
Fill the shock absorber with 105 cm³ of hydraulic fluid. Each time
during maintenance, check the bolts affixing the top and bottom end of the shock absorbers for
tightness.
